Summer Hours of Operation
Box office will operate under summer hours from Tuesday, May 27th through Labor Day.

Will Call
Will Call tickets can be picked up at the John Paul Jones Arena Box Office 48 hours after being purchased. A photo ID and the credit card used for the purchase must be presented to pick up tickets.
Childrens Admissions
Children over the age of 12 months must have a ticket for admission for UVA events. Guidelines for non-UVA athletic events vary by show. Please check the listing for each event.

Lottery Procedures for Event On-sale Dates
- Lottery tickets begin to be handed out 90 minutes before the on-sale time in front of the John Paul Jones Arena Box Office.
- Lottery tickets will stop being handed out 30 minutes before the on-sale time. A raffle ticket guarantees a place in line not a ticket.
- At 30 minutes before the on-sale time, the tickets are shuffled and one ticket is drawn. The person who has the matching ticket number is the first person in line. The line is then continued by corresponding ticket number until the last ticket number dispersed has been placed in line. The line than continues with the first ticket number given out.
For Example: 100 people are issued raffle tickets for an on-sale. The lottery draws number 47 to be first in line. Everyone stays in numerical order. Number 48 becomes second in line, 49 third, and so on. Those with ticket 1-46 line up in numerical order after the last ticket is handed out.
Rules
- One numbered ticket per customer
- Numbered ticket will only be honored at the location where it is received.
- Numbered tickets are non-transferable.
- Persons who get more than one lottery ticket will be disqualified from the on-sale.
- Persons who arrive after 30 minutes before the on-sale time will be held in a separate line and then placed behind the line of lottery ticket holders.
- Please note: not all shows/events require an on-sale lottery.
- John Paul Jones Arena reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who does not abide by the polices.

Why does a lottery system take place?
For a number of reasons which include:
- It helps to prevent scalping.
- Ensures that everyone has the same opportunity to be first in line.
- Prevents lines from interfering or be interfered with other events at John Paul Jones Arena.
- It provides an orderly process for major event on-sales.
Where Can I Camp out?
Camping out is prohibited and it would serve no purpose to arrive at the Box Office before 8:30am.

Group Sales Information and Procedures
The following are policies and procedures for Group Sales for events at John Paul Jones Arena that are handled by the Arena Box Office. Group sales policies for outside sales agencies may vary:
- A group generally consists of a minimum of 10 people, but may vary from event to event.
- A one-time $10 processing fee is required with each group order. This fee is NOT per ticket.
- Group orders placed less than two weeks prior to the performance must be paid in full with cash or credit card at the time the order is placed. Tickets purchased less than two weeks prior to the performance will not be mailed, however arrangements can be made to have the tickets picked up at John Paul Jones Arena’s Box Office.
- Seat locations are determined by the reservation date based on a first come, first served basis.
- Wheelchair accessible seating is available; however it is limited. Please inform the Group Sales Department in advance if any members of your group will require this or any other special accommodations. Hearing devices are available for use and can be reserved.
- Generally, everyone over the age of 12 months must have a ticket, however children’s rules may vary per show. See the event page for specific details.
- Groups may add on to their original order. Add-on orders will be selected as close as possible to the original order and are subject to availability. An additional processing fee may apply for add-on orders.
- Payment Methods: Payment for the entire amount of tickets purchased can be made in ONE of the following forms, ONE company, school or organizational check, money order, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover or cash.

If you would like to pay for your tickets in person at our office, please call and make an appointment: (434)924-3537. - Cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover orders will require 48-72 hours for processing before tickets are ready to be picked up or mailed. If paying by company check, there may be a waiting period. There will be a $25.00 fee on all returned checks.
- Tickets purchased less than two weeks prior to the performance will not be mailed. Arrangements can be made to have the tickets picked up at John Paul Jones Arena. Tickets purchased less than two weeks prior to the performance must be paid in full with cash or credit card.
- Unfortunately, there are no complimentary tickets for bus drivers or group leaders. All persons entering the building must have a ticket, no exceptions. If you will be traveling by school bus or motor coach, please contact us prior to your arrival to receive instructions for dropping off your group and parking.
- Group tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable
